Engine: TD: Volvo s40 slow acceleration / sluggish

Dear fellow members,

I have had similar history of problems with my S40 2002 1.9d (D4192T3). At some point my car was loosing power in 2 gear running up the bridge.
I clened the EGR and everything around it that I could reach with the tools at hand. Got a lot of improvement but as the time went by everything started to be bad again. Ended up changing a turbo and had to clean decent amount of mess since bad turbo with its will/movement allowed oil to be leaking into the intercooler (poured out almost half a liter of oil out of it) and other parts.
Immidiately after the change of turbo my car was running still the same but after around 50km as I was running it in high RPM it cleaned itself as the whole exhaust system got stuffed with all sorts of gunk(and perhaps still is).

Currently it runs just like some other members here mentioned: barely any power up to 2000-2500 and then you get the full boost and is going strong.

I am about to have a final repair with my friend (a mechanic).
I am finally having the budget and the time to get fully with it.
