I was recently trying out some of these new fangled cars, XC40 and V60. Travelling on a dual carriageway at 70mph every time I changed lane I would keep getting tugs at the steering wheel and couldn't figure out what was happening, until the sales guy told me it was because I wasn't signalling a lane change. |

Or because you hadn't switched it off. To be honest it may be a good thing that promotes better driving on motorways where lane changing not being indicatated can be a danger. On roads around here it is a proper pain the the ****. Surprised your own car doesn't have it, I didn't think it was an option? |

Think it was part of the driver support pack, and I decided not to spec it at £1200. |

Drive around.
Find space. Park car. Switch off. Switch on again. Close window. Switch off. Nuff said. Or in meme language, foiir your ease and convenience: When you're sat in a car unable to open the windows because the driver has taken the key with them FFS! I hate them! I hate them! |

Just back from 700 mile round trip in nothing fancier than my dads Kia c'eed, however, the cruise control and autobox made the trip fly by, the 50plus mpg made it financially viable, the headlights that look round corners were a boon and just pressing one button to lock it away each night gave me confidence leaving it in a strange car park. Technology, who needs it?
I'm happy to take it any day. |

I am, for the most part, a technophobe cos I don't understand it, but when it's there, and it works, am all for it!!
Edit, nb, cruise control, electric windows, air con and swivelling headlamps all been about since fifties, maybe earlier!! Last edited by biggbn; Jan 13th, 2019 at 19:23. |
