It's a rare part for sure, but not really desirable as it was a bit of a styling blunder really, you'd need the matching bonnet to make it a 'set' if anybody wanted to fit the grille to their car as a modification, and your target market for the grille alone is going to be owners of cars from the appropriate year who need a replacement grille, which is a very very small market.

I normally feel uncomfortable judging sellers' prices as it's not my business, but I think that is probably pretty optimistic for an asking price and you're unlikely to realise a sale at that price, even the holy-of-holies eggcrate grill will only fetch that kind of price when the starts align right, and there's a much bigger market for them.
Wooble, noted you're from Surrey too, who's the best 240 mechanic to use?

Truthfully I couldn't tell you, I do all my own work as I trained as a mechanic for three years. I'm always willing to led a hand if anybody needs one, though, with all the acquired knowledge that owning a series of sickly 240s for the last four years has imparted.

I love the coffin hood style grille, so difficult to get hold of now though!
