S40 V40: - Radio code

Have 2002 v40 for some time and had to remove battery and cant get my radio working because i dont know PIN, called previous owner (number i whitened out there) but he dont know it also, maybe someone can help me out? thanks a lot

Have you checked your owners manual? If the radio is original it should be in there, if it's not original it may be written on the radio itself.

Pull the radio out sometimes people write the number on the housing that's what I did,might just get lucky

In the UK at least you can go to Volvo dealer with proof of ownership and they can look up the radio code. Only works for the original radio of course.
Try your local Dealer or no harm in ringing a uk dealer, FRS Swansea probably best as Rufe (Simon) posts on here

Deffo try calling the dealer - I did it with a Volvo a few years the week I purchased it & I wasn't "on" the logbook yet, but I think because of it's value & age they were ok to let me know what the original code for the original radio was.

It worked too, so give it a go.

if you get in touch with Volvo Technical on Customer Relations, VCUK (.) [CUSTCARE@volvocars.com], give them your VIN and any other useful information, they should help
