Very interested in this system as I've been having problems with my cd changer anyway. Just wondering, if you put more than one album on the storage device how do you select which one you want?.. Or is it just a case of skippin until you get to the track you want?, or can you use the disc select controls on the head unit like you would normaly use with a cd changer?

I would assume it would just have a library on the memory card and you just skip through them, not sure if the random button only applies to CDs, otherwise if this too then can mix it up I guess.

You can create as many folders on the SD card as your head unit can cope with, name them 'Disk 1', 'Disk 2' etc. then the disc selector on the HU will select the folder, so if you want to you could use that for individual albums. This would limit the number of tracks you put on though so I would use a sequential file name within the folder to place the tracks in order,

Album01track01.mp3
.
.
Album01track99.mp3
Album02track01.mp3
.
.
Album02track99.mp3

etc.
This lets you place more than one album in a folder but you do have to skip through the tracks to get to the next album. Unfortunately, this a limitation of the head unit. The random button also works.

This works surpisingly well and the sound is of more than acceptable quality.

One thing to watch is that some of the cheaper FM transmitter units may struggle to get a good signal to the bumper mounted aerial.

Just been having a quick look at this thread, and have fancied one of these audio add ons for a while now. Still got a bit of santa money left so may be a good time to buy!!
Can i ask, when you remove the head unit, do you have to disconnect the battery to avoid a fault. I'm sure i've read this somewhere?
