Very likely condensation caused by short journeys. The dip stick tube on these is a cold spot - in front of the engine - and can cause issues.

My old '97 V40 suffered from this - same engine just one less cylinder. I bought the car at 60,000mls and the engine was clean, but after using it for a few months mayo appeared on the dipstick and under the filler cap. I did mainly short journeys of around 20 miles or so and quite a lot of stopping and starting. Changed the oil regularly every 7000mls or so and the mayo never disappeared. The engine was still good when I scrapped it at 370,000mls and never had any work done to it apart from routine servicing.

Well it seems quite simple to me:-
If you carry out the suggested procedure and the car is not losing coolant then it just cannot be leaking coolant into the oil - or the combustion chambers.
