Default Electric window goes down

Hi guys, when I put my passenger window up it gets to almost the top and then goes back down, like when something is trapped, nothing obvious stuck in the rubbers or anything.
Is or has this been a common problem in the past? Is this a VIDA adjustment thing or a new module?

It most likely just needs re-calibration (it measures closing force via current draw, in case something, or someone, were to become trapped in it).

Keep your finger on the switch as the window is rising and when it reaches the top, continue to hold for 5 seconds.

Smile Solution

Hi Barney,

The solution is here in this thread somewhere,,

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=159949

Basically they door module goes into a fault mode when it encounters a large enough resitance/motor current as you close the window, often if your going over bumpy ground or similar, or the mechanism is needing some lube.

One of the non vida methods might work for you, just follow them very specifically to see if you can get it to reset, failing that a recalibration on vida will get it working properly in most cases.. post back if you find a fix..
