Lucky my Volvo didn't eat me.
Be careful in the windy weather when topping up your fluids. I was just returning the bottle to the garage, and the bonnet closed on its own in the wind, as it is a gas strutted one. I don't see any warning of this in the manual, or a mention of a sweet-spot where it locks.
So you are driving one of the safest cars on the road, but it will bite you on the bum if you are not aware.

Believe me it isn't just S60 '10> / V60 '11> / XC60 '08>'17s ....it is the same across the whole range! Been there, done that & got the dirt line from the bonnet across the back of the shirt form an 854, C70, and V70s
Still it does keep you on your toes or your back if the wallop is hard enough...........

I had the bonnet up and was really weary about this. Especially as the wind was quite strong.
Glad I didn't get eaten! |

I believe Volvo have have 2 solutions to this problem. The first is using a wife as an impromptu bonnet prop. Failing that a stick!
