Help - headlining for 740.

Hi,

does anyone have a contact/trimmer that can replace a completely shot headling in my 1986 740 estate for a sensible price?

I fitted one from a 940 saloon to my 740 saloon, however I did get a quote from a guy who recovers sofa's here in Strabane, he said around £50 if I remove the cardboard liner and leave it with him

It's fairly easy to remove the headliner of an Estate. Once all the trim is taken off it pretty much falls out on its own, especially without a sunroof. I changed mine myself using good fabric that I got from a scrapped car and peeled off the other car's cardboard since it was loose.

I've taken the headlining from a decent 940 saloon out for my 740. However, it.doesn't look as good now it's out, so my plan is to get some material (with a bit of stretch) and recover it myself.

Will let you know how it goes!
