Amazon: - 1/4 Window Rivets

I have rivets for the front quarter windows. No idea how to fit them. None of the 3 rivets tools I have work for this. Can't get the correct google words! Several years now I've let these sit expecting to stumble across the answer. Actually, had them since I bought my Amazon, 1st project. Only now asking for help!

The pictures show 2 different manufactures, slight difference. First purchase I thought I got the wrong thing and ordered again elsewhere. No clue what tool, how they fit. Assuming I put a washer in the middle of assembled hinges. Does one flare out on the open end? Or 2 riveted together? Man, I am clueless here.

I don’t know the correct answer, but they look similar to convertible hood fixings. I’ve just repaired all of the poppers on my Spitfire hood. I used a tool like this one:

In the case of my hood I hit the tubular, open end of the press stud with this tool to splay it out.

Modify a bike chain remover that’s what I use to then crimp it down neet 😎👍

I have done these a few times, the rivets are very pliable so I clamp a bar, socket extension or even a suitable size bolt in a vice. I then place the other end of a bar, socket extension or even a suitable size bolt into the frame as an anvil then hammer the other side of the rivet flat with a tack hammer or other small hammer. The rivets flatten easily. For the actual hinge rivet I don't bother, a suitable small nyloc nut and bolt works better and can be tightened, as the rivets become loose over time on the hinge mechanism.

A short length of tube like this can be used for the sunken rivets when putting the frame back in. Yes I know that's not what you are after but you might have the whole thing apart.
