This is my Volvo .... there are many others like it but this one is mine ....

We currently have an S40 1.9 Sport Classic which has been fantastic .....

That's staying in the household and I've just added an S60 to the fleet ..

I did wonder if one of it's previous owners might be a member here?

I picked it up for a very reasonable price on the understanding that it would need some 'going through' as it doesn't run quite like it should.

My list is -

DPF removal and deep clean
Swirl Flap replacement and intake manifold clean
Full EGR strip down and clean
HU-850 repair (surprise surprise)
Couple of small interior jobs.

I will start a new thread covering each of these jobs as I go along .....

1st up ... DPF deep clean .....

Love the colour - I hope it proves to be a great buy - IMHO these P2 variants represent great value for money even if they have one or two issues to get them through their MOTs.

So much better value and build than many other marques of the same age/mileage.

Here's a link to my thread on the DPF clean ...

https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...24#post2437924

Sadly the DPF was clogged up because of other issues and in the process of diagnosing the other issues I ended up clogging up again!!
So that'll need another clean ....... The upside being that it's freshly fitted with lovely stainless fixings so it'll come apart super easily.

Next up ... Swirl flaps ......
