Default Genuine Volvo or ECP??

Simple question :
I need a new front wing for my 2004 V70. Genuine Vovo is just north of £200 and Eurocarparts a smidge under £120. I'm not fitting or painting, which is extra.

Is the genuine Volvo worth the extra cost?

At least I know the genuine item will be a straight fit, and may arrive better protected??

Cheers

Bob

Bob, would it not be possible to check on Ebay for a good used wing in the correct colour?

It would be way cheaper and possibly no painting to do.

The last wing I got from an eBay breaker was around £100 delivered and because it was the same age as the car, the paint already matched perfectly.

Thanks for early replies.
I'm not paying.....
Don't want to rip anyone off but would like the job done right, hence my original question.

If an ebay wing was not perfect and needed no painting could be an option, but suspect it will need a spraying, for scratches etc, so a new wing I suspect will be a quicker (safer) option..

Never thought about inner wing treatments or galvanised...looks like I'll prob go back to dealer and ask for a discount....

Thanks again peps.

Cheers
Bob

I always get a healthy discount at Mill Sunderland if I mention the Club.

John or Jack in stores are both spot on to deal with;

The only time you'll see rust on these V70 is because it was repaired with aftermarket body panels (or poorly repainted). How about a used wing if the color is not too rare?

While there, replacing it is not bad, but not exactly that easy either, I think there is a bolt in the lower plastic body trim, not sure how to get to it, because the trim is difficult to remove. Some bolts are also hard to turn and may bend the metal attaches on the body https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaJFnRGVFA0

If you are NOT paying Why question this and that ? Just go for the Volvo part and get it sprayed ! Simple !!!
