Smile SRS alarm fixed

Hello,
I just thought I would share my recent problem, hopefully it may help someone.
My C30 drivers door central locking and window controls stopped working.
I unplugged the wiring harness at the door hinge and cleaned the contacts.
This fixed the problem but a couple of days later a SRS alarm came up on the dashboard.
I thought this was because the battery had been disconnected, when looking with Vida no alarms showed but an SRS reset removed the alarm from the dashboard.
It then kept coming back after a short drive, no alarms on Vida but a reset would remove it.
I looked on Vida at the SRS system and found there is a sensor in the door which made me suspicious that I may have an intermittent fault on the wiring harness plug at the door hinge. After unplugging and cleaning the plug the alarm has gone, I also found that a tie strap around the plug helps to secure it.
I don't understand why Vida didn't tell me it was the door sensor but I'm pleased to have fixed it.
Andy.

in vida you would need to look at the door module to find if it has problems use vehicle communications and the advanced tab
