Default V50 front doors icing up and not closing.

As title, on really cold days -3deg or less both front doors open ok but will not lock when closing, when I say not locking I mean that door won’t stay closed so driving off is not happening soon. Once car has warmed up it’s ok so obviously part of that mechanism is freezing but I have triad all sorts of methods to stop it but keeps happening.

Does anyone else have issues like this and if you managed to pinpoint he exact problem to sort it?

It sounds like you haven't been lubricating the catch up inside the lock at every service.

Can’t vouch for the garage doing it but I tried lubricating lock mechanism but it still persists. Hence my asking if a specific method works.

I used to get this regularly in both my old V50s.
Had to keep a gas lighter in the door pocket to warm up the door catch when it failed to close, worked a treat everytime
