Default Rolled V70 Ph2 D5 in France

Hi All,
I am posting this on behalf of a VOC member who has had a whoopsy in the South of France with her V70 D5.
Basically, the car went up a steep roadside bank, and stopped undamaged.Trying to reverse out, the car rolled gently onto it's side and then roof, but the bank was hard stones, and the resulting damage is horrible.
This was pre-accident a very tidy example of a Ph2 V70 D5.
The only option now, as the car had regrettably run out of Green Card a few days before, is to scrap it locally or get it back to the UK for some TLC.
Anyone interested?

Hi Nick,

What's the owner's ideal outcome? Does he/she want it back in the UK such that it can be repaired? Also, where in France is it?

Regards,

Matt

Can it be scrapped in france? as needs certificate of destruction for DVLA.

we have looked at similar senarios for trips to ring, and worked out it would cost about £300 for tunnel and fuel, to borrow trailer and car, suitable to recover a wreck from ring, so 6 of us would toss 50 into pot.

Just re read original post, I initially assumed car had been lying in ditch whilst trying to look at options.

What age (its older than 04, as pre facelift), mileage, does engine run, pictures of damage, if engine not running, IMHO its worthless, as salvage value, Vs salvage cost is to great, same as companies being sold for a penny.

is it accessible, what recovery work is needed to get to it, or was it moved and parked up somewhere?

Hi Rammer,
Sorry, forgot to set an autoreply on this post.

Interested in the interior if you decide to break it.

Is this a joke?
Where does it mention no insurance?
I assumed green card meant breakdown.....
Hence unable to return it to the uk.

https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-insurance/driving-abroad

Prior to the good old EU you did in fact require a "green card" to drive in France so basically they are saying the insurance cover for driving in France had expired.
