Im not convinced an uprated intercooler will do much other than maybe maintain performance during sustained hot periods (like we've had recently) or maybe help dyno figures out where innadequate dyno fans have been provided.

Problem when you install a FMIC is then the air con rad suffers leading to potential air con overheating issues.

Im looking for an uprated one for my S60 T5 at the moment (see sep. thread) but only becuase the OE has been damaged, dont think Id bother ordinarily as the Volvo one seems well up to the job of 400+HP

The RICA will take you from 300 BHP / 400Nm Torque

to

340BHP and 460 Nm's of torque

while the BSR will take you to 354BHP / 493Nm Torque

Have a chat with Adam at Volvo Tuning reference the RICA, he comes well recommended

The BSR has the great advantage that it is removable, handy if your car is still under warranty.

Don is a terrific chap, very helpful, I bought my AP brakes from him.

You can get the BSR from www.partsforvolvos.co.uk or from Adam.

The choice is yours!

I understand Adam also does a custom re-map, this is something I might do in the future.

Hi Dave.
Does make you wonder if it is just there as a marketing ploy.
Cheers,
Dan.

True, but the second IC is tiny and more of a bottle neck for the flow of things IMO.

On a side note: Sounds like good news on a soft loader from MTE! I can't wait! Keep us posted Don!!!

Kevin
