Default Electric water pump

Hello,
Haven't been here for a while, had an interesting read on the "For Sale" page Being summer i noticed something about the electric water pump on my 460. When the car was bought, it use to buzz a lot louder than it does now. I'm just not sure whether the ecu alters the voltage supply to the pump according to the engine temp. I read in the service book that if the coolant temp. is above 84 degrees after the engine is switched off then for 5 minutes it operates (but max. for 20 mins.) I haven't had time to check it by supplying it power off the battery (cleaned the connections which were already clean) but it works a bit sluggishly. Anyone else experienced the same? Don't want to drain the coolant if i don't have to
Thanks

If you need an electric water pump, I have one.
I coud give it for an exchange with an owners book or a repair manual witch includes the '96 diesel (english only).

If the price is reasonable then i might consider. Unfortunetly I haven't got an owners manual or repair manual in english (i have a 480 english owners book in pdf and a service handbook in german which is quite a large file).

No worries mate. I just tested the pump by giving power off the battery, and even though it works sluggishly it still circulates the coolant, so it should be fine for the remainder of the summer season. I might pick a second hand one off from the scrapyard later in the year. Thanks for the offer anyway.
