Volvo V40 1.8 Sport: First reg. April 2003, 45,000 miles with full service history, last service August 2008, all invoices including original bill of sale,(£16,722.64), taxed 31st January 2009 and MOT till August 14th 2009, Finished in Maya Gold Metallic with Black Interior, leather edging on seats.
Full spec includes Sports Pack and Winter Pack, alloy wheels, info. centre, original Volvo CD/Radio/Cassette, load cover, electric windows x4, roof rails, central locking, alarm, immobiliser, two working key fobs, all handbooks, service book and old MOT's, Balance of Mechanical and Roadside Assistance Warranty till August 2009.
Lovely clean original car, has been replaced by V40 2.0 Turbo, £5,995 o.n.o.

TBH I think the cars actual value is nearer the 4k mark, maybe try £4200. The glass's book price on it is about £3700 so a dealer would look for probably £500 on top of that.

See my 'for sale' post below, I had to settle on £3,200 for my 38k 1 owner 2004 04 Sport.

There appears to be no market for mid life family petrol cars, even ones with plenty of life left in them. I was tempted to keep mine, however, they will never go back up in value.
