Default Volvo S60 Siren module kit bargain!

Having had the dreaded alarm siren die, I didn't like the thought of buying a secondhand one which may die at any time, priced up ones on Ebay and Rufe and all about the £180 - £200 mark for the siren alone

This company supplied me with the entire genuine Volvo, 2 year warranty siren kit including new bolt, rivets, fuse, plastic trim fixings, and siren etc. for 165 Euro's and 18 Euro's for delivery, which was ordered Wednesday and arrived Friday, which is about £134!!

BTW The siren on its own from them is 212 Euro weird huh?

http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts...n-kit/1029734/

This to me is a heck of a saving, as a second hand one is £60 - £80

hope this helps

Thanks for this - I've just bought an XC90 one, came out a little bit cheaper than yours for some reason but as you say the kit is cheaper than the siren alone!

Cheers again

....... or you could change the battery for around £10 if you catch siren failure in time.

New to this but I do keep reading about the alarm service fault I the message does occasionally come up on mine. Would this count as "in time"?

Possibly.
You need to remove the siren and open it to see the state of your circuit board.
If your siren works ok, chances are your board is fine and a new battery will fix the message.
