Default P3 V70 fuse bad access behind glove box

Would like to know how to access fuse box under the back of the glove box, I wish to wire in a dash cam, the fuse box looks well hidden, probably easy when you know how.

I have the very thing done. Easy to do. Piggy back from existing fuse holder, run cable to the left behind panelling then up behind panel between door and windscreen then across under roof panel to where dash cam is situated.

Ps if you need a photo posted of fuse connection, can do this.

Thanks SignumGB would appreciate photo of relevant fuse. Does glove box need removing for access? Or is there some magic involved?

Got the dash cam free with a set of tyres using it with plug in to 12v socket to see how good it is. HD quality of image is good so hard wire is worth doing.

I think it's not behind the glove box, but under it. Pull back the passenger side carpet and it's there.......
Got my dash cam with a couple of Cross Climates and decided against hard wire as it would be on all the time and drain the battery ?
Some dash cams have a g sensor which will automatically switch on in the event of a shunt whilst parked.
There are also hard wire kits that monitor your battery, and cut the power to the dash cam in the event that the battery level runs low....no experience of these so can't comment.

I personally just routed the cable under the head lining, down the wind screen rubber, under the dash and into the console 12v cigarette lighter socket.

Hope this helps.................

Is yours a p3? I have no 12v point on the console I have one behind the first-ever in the money tray and another for the rear seat passengers the wires would be in the way.

Propose to go into a fuse which is only live when ignition on so hopefully therefore no drain.

Thanks for your reoly

Yep it's a P3, look at my signature.......fill in your sig with your car details....helps....
Might have been a bit of miss direction with the "centre console bit", but it's forward of the armrest under the "pull back cover". Yes, the fuse box is behind the passenger side carpet.
If you go for the hard wire kit from the dash cam supplier (If you got your tyres at Kwik Fit)l. Then be advised that it only constitutes a female 12 volt socket to plug it into with a couple of wires...........ask me how I know....
