Default Gas springs

One of the two boot lid gas struts on our S70 collapsed the other day, with a lovely puddle of oil just to brighten up proceedings.

An internet search turned up a firm in Derby called SGS who had the correct struts in stock. Their online store is: https://www.sgs-engineering.com

The new struts were delivered next day at a very good price, were easy to fit and come with a nice 2-year warranty. Not bad for parts for a 22-year-old car that's been out of production since 2000!

I'd certainly recommend giving SGS a try if your boot or bonnet struts are sagging!

They are a great firm to deal with who started out making gas struts and have now expanded into all sorts of workshop and garden equipment .

Agreed. I obtained the tailgate struts for my 940 estate from them some time ago.
