Default S80 D5 2.4D - battery replacement

Hello,

I need to get a new battery for my 2008 S80 D5 as it is taking longer to start in the morning. I want to save some money by ordering the battery myself and only paying for the installation at my local indy garage. They have recommended that I get a Bosch or Varta battery.

However, I'm not sure what the right battery specification type is for my car, and where to get the best deals. I found out about Tayna from researching the forum but don't want to order from them without knowing exactly what kind of battery would fit my car.

Can anyone please help?

In case it helps, I've bought this, arrived today: https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/yuasa/ybx5110/

Take a look at your battery and you may see something like 110 or another obvious number, that'll tell you what you have. Else, measure the LxWxH.

Thank you. However, I am not able to access the battery (it's somewhere in the boot and I am mechanically challenged). Is your S80 a D5?

It's a V70 D3 so this battery may not be correct for you.

Also, I've noticed if I put my reg into www.tayna.co.uk it thinks I need an 096 battery but I've picked a 110 battery because that's what it has atm.

Just look inside the boot, in a few minutes you'll know what you need.

I've got a 2007 S80 D5 and my battery is in the engine bay? My previous 2003 S80 had the battery in the boot.

Go to Tayna battery side and key in your registration number - it will tell you what battery you need. In my experience, it's always correct.

Tayna said I needed 096 but I had an aftermarket 110, so I went with 110 in the end.
