Default EGR Fault

It is coming up with faults.
Does this look that it is blocked on my D5 185?

Seen worse....

A good clean out can only help, not sure if it will resolve the fault. Is that all you got: "EGR Fault"

I found it much easier to fully clean the egr if you remove fully from the engine, it allows you to remove the valve assy off and clean it better. also check the rubber turbo inlet hose, by the sound of the "maf fault, it may of split or has a hole in it.

I just replaced my egr and position sensor, the reduction gears on the actuator were so worn that there was about 4mm of play on the actuator drive, the position sensor also decided to not record anything across the middle of the range.
The valve wouldn't close properly so boost was dumping into the exhaust.
I also found the turbo inlet hose was loose enough to pop off when i was replacing the egr, i didn't realise until the car threw up a load of maf related codes on the test drive afterwards.

It could be, i would really get a scan done with vida first as sometimes it will tell you if codes are related, generic code readers are not great, you can't activate the egr and see whats going on.

I basically got it all back together tonight.
I have took it for a quick blast and you can definitely hear a hissing noise when it is under boost.
I guess I have a leak somewhere.
Does anyone have a schematic of the turbo, pipework and egr circuit to assess where it is leaking?

Cheers

After running and turning off the ignition I get a lot of noise coming from the EGR.
Is this normal or has something got stuck or damaged?

Thanks
