A quick spray of the catches with WD40 followed by a greasing with Copper slip &/or etc. on the rotating dogs works wonders - the key though is to let the bonnet drop from an angle greater than 30 degrees - it always resets the micro switch....even if the loud "caboing" from the bonnet sounds scary.

Thanks to all who posted a reply to this topic.
I just had the same problem - the lights were flashing on disarming but not flashing when setting the alarm. I had tried the doors and boot, but hadn't thought of the bonnet. Opening and closing the bonnet again did the trick |

ALL P2 do not flash when the alarm module is broken.
It's a P2 so the alarm module will be broken. LOL. Set the alarm (lock car) with the windows down. Wait 1 min. Reach in and unlock the door manually. The alarm should sound. If it doesn't sound the alarm module is cooked, hence no flash when lock / unlock + no siren

Hi all, just joined the club. Can you please explain what you mean by rotating the "wheel" several turns? I have the same problem, but looking at the catch there is nothing I can access or turn with a screewdriver. Also, how high could you lift the bonnett before you fixed the catch? I think I might have the same issue, but the bonnet only lifts a tiny bit one side. I also noticed that my fuel flap / door is not locking. I know that there is a delay as part of the design, but it isn't locking after the car is locked and parked for hours. Could this cause the lights not flashing when locking? Anyone had this? Thank you in advance |

Dropping the bonnet may cause the two securing bolts of the lock units to come loose after a while - with the consequence the bonnet latch will loose alignment which may cause the bonnet to get stuck at some point. One a little 'rough' bypass would be to simply wire together the two wires to the micro-switch, so the alarm system thinks the bonnet is always closed (downside is a thief may break a glass and open the bonnet without triggering the alarm) I would recommend trying to tighten down the two bolts of each lock - I found these quite loose when I was filming this at the breakers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwOv6AIqxHY
