Default Removal of drivers exterior door handle?

Hi all, I have broken my exterior door handle on my 2003 V40, Does any one know how to change it? I have got every thing stripped down so far as the actual handle surround is loose, however, I just cant see what to disconnect to actually get the handle off. I havn't even got a new handle yet as mine is a chrome one and I cant find a used one. I will definately not pay the stealers £65 + VAT and fitting Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry to sound negative, but i think the dealer is the only source unless you can fix the one you already have.

These chrome handles are rare as anything on scrap cars, and even if you do track some down, they'll never sell you just the one from the set

Thanks, Steve, Your file is just what I needed. As for your reply toblerone, as much as I appreciate any help and advice, I'd just like to let you know that I got one within 24 hrs of posting a request on 'partsgateway', It was from 'LVM' which apparently are a used volvo stockist, Cost me £30, but better price than Volvo. So thanx again to you both.

I cant get the file to open

I've not broken my handles but i have picked some up from a scrappy and sprayed them as I HATE the flat off grey colour.

Is it easy enough to change them over?

Default remove outer door handle/door lock barrel

Hi guys, can anyone tell me if it's possible to remove the outer door handle and lock barrel? I'm looking to replace the (rusty) drivers door on my newly purchased 2002 V40 and this is the only part I am not sure about...

Any help would be much appreciated!
