They are about 30cm / 12" long - but the ones i bought were longer and you could trim them to the nearest multiple of 3 LED's so you could get it pretty close to what u needed.

I think I had the same type of LED strips as you Ian.

These were the ones I got, I cut 9 off to get a good size to fit the whole cluster

I did it slightly differently though.

Drilled 3 pairs of holes in the back plate of the cluster.
Drilled an extra hole in the top to pass a draw cord down.
Drill six holes in the bottom to pass the LED strips up though.

The top showing draw string hole...

The bottom end showing the access hole.

I passed a draw cord down to the access hole, fixed on the LED strip and pulled it up, attaching the LEDs to the back plate using cable ties through the holes.

Sealed the holes with silicon, job done. Mebbe took 20 minutes for both sides.

Hi ya

Just wandering if anyone can provide a step-by-step guide to wiring these LED lights (ideally with photographs) please?

I have all the parts and ready to go. Just waiting for my warranty to expire in a couple of weeks before starting but want to learn more about connecting up the wiring so I can have a strip for the day time lights and a supplementary brake light strip whilst ensuring the wiring all correct and no fault codes appear

Thanks in advance

So long as you splice into the wiring at the back clusters you won't get an error code.

Black is a common earth, so choose any of them.
White is the side light live, so will come on when your side lights are on, in my case running lights, so they illuminate the strip I've put in place.

I didn't bother with splicing into the brakes personally.

I like the idea of these coming on with the brakes. Something else to add to my "To Do" list.

Any video of red and yellow installed, would like to see what they look like before I commit to doing it.
