Default 940 turbo - mystery plug??

Hi all

I've just had my intercooler out to flush it as I was convinced it was full of oil and when I came to refit everything I noticed a plug dangling down from the front left of the car, near the horn. See attachments.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Dale

I also need a replacement A/C condenser. Where's the best place to get one from?

That is the sensor for your ambient temperature gauge , it fits in a hole in the lower air guide

Lower air guide? Forgive my ignorance but what does that look like?

The grille under the bumper has a socket at the bottom right (viewed from the front) that the sensor clips into.

You can easily reach in inside by removing the main grille.

On My 1996 940 LPT auto I bought a nissens brand from Ebay UK.

Around £65 and I fitted it, and fitted perfectly. I had a pig of job to get the AC pipes disconnected from the old condenser as bolt seized. Don't know if RHD and LHD vehicles have same design AC system.

James.

Thanks James, I'll have a look. Is your car RHD?
