Unhappy On Call Battery failure

On my 2010 XC90 Executive I have a warning light stating on call service required. My local dealers informs me it is likely that the battery needs changing and wants to charge £300 for doing this. Does anyone know the spec of the battery and how you change it so I can do myself?

Just got mine back from dealer yesterday after being in for its annual service. I bought my XC90 2 weeks ago with this message on the DIM. After reading on here that the issue is more related to the monitoring software of the on call battery rather than the battery itself, I was pleased to be told that the issue has now been resolved with a reset. Its only been 24 hrs, but so far, I have not seen the message since.

Had this happen on mine (2010 XC90 R Design ) and took it to dealer who said nothing wrong with the battery all it needed was for the reset of the module which reads the voltage done for £60
There is a section on here somewhere if you search will tell you all about it.

Thanks, they said they could do a "diagnosis" for an additional £60 but not that that would fix or cure the issue.
