Default Analogue to digital conversion

Im sure this has probably come up but the search button not working for some reason. I have a 2004 XC70 with the TV function. How do i convert to digital. Is there an idiots giude? Cheers all.

I have a V70 with similar option....ive wondered about purchasing a "digi box" TV converter, but find one that has a 12v transformer, so it would be able to be powered by the car, rather than by mains power. then plug this inbetween the aerial and the Volvo TV box and see what happens then.

In short it’s possible (is it worth it?) you would need a DVB-T tuner module possible one from a different car could be used otherwise it’s a standalone decoder and RF modulator that would connect between the aerial and socket (if it’s a combined aerial more complex but doable ....... eBay might have a Chinese seller offering a suitable box of dubious quality.....
