How many 240 turbos in the UK?
Hi,
Me and Antz were talking and it's got me thinking, how many actual 240 turbo conversions have actually been done in the UK? Or more precisely, how many are on the road now? I know Chesh has built a couple, and Suterman has built one, and mine will be on the road in the next month or so. I think Jonah might have one too? I've seen a few other random ones floating around too. The turbo conversion is something that a million people have talked about, but how many have actually done it? Obviously I'm not talking about Antz' T5 conversion...he's just showing off. Just curious as to how elite the 240 turbo club is! Dan

Is that a B23FT? What are the spade terminals for up by the rocker cover?!
Is it still on the road these days? Cheers!

The spade terminals are for the LPG injectors.
The B23 is coming out and going into something with less doors |

Hahaha Im showing off.
The ones I know of are: Yours Bryn Musselwhites 245 GLT (using Sutermans old car as a donor that's now the Volv8estate in the BDC) A blue one that I seem to remember foggy james and chesh talking about A silver 240 GLT saloon that was on ebay not so long back That's all I know of. Theres always plenty of people talking the talk about doing it but it seems only a handful ever actually get down to business and make it happen. |

When I was shopping for my first 240, there was a white 245 on ebay with a B230FT. I can't remember the exact year, but it was a late one. It looked like a nicely done job from a mechanical point of view, though some of the details were rather late 90s Max Powerish. It sold for <£1000 too, if I remember correctly. I've never seen any other mention of it, so there's probably a few unknown turbos lurking out there.

turbo manifold
Next time I go to the states I'm bringing one of these back in my suitcase - seems like a bargain? Then I will have no excuse but to join the turbo club!
