Hi I have a 2002 S60 D5 remapped , then I put it on devil developments dyno
and it was making 209bhp with a DO88 Intercooler, but I now have a free flow ex pipe and I fitted a 4bar map sensor the one I sent you a link to,
as the one that Volvo fitted was a denso 2.5bar map sensor,so if it over boosted the ecu could not control it,
as limp mode will only come in at 400milbar over the set turbo pressure ,
but with the larger sensor there are no boost spikes, boost sits to were it has been set, I have lifted the boost another 500milbar , I have fitted a real boost gauge,as obd2 apps will only read the diag limit up to 2.5bar, no matter what sensor you have fitted, but if you use Volvo vida or icarsoft, or Delphi DS150E they will all read the full boost pressure of what sensor is fitted,
the boost goes up to 22.5psi now, was set at 21 when it was on the dyno, so it would be good to know, the 2002 d5 turbo is not water cooled like the turbo used in the 2005 185bhp models,
so I will not push it any more,
like I say you have to change the setting in the ecu map for the 4 bar sensor
if the tuner you used is a real tuner he will know how to do this,
if he just sends the ecu file of to a software place to do the changes he may not know how to do the changes, What did he say to you about fitting a larger sensor?
