It's more than FIVE times what I paid for my present V70, Keith, which is why I was a little surprised, to put it mildly. Won't the high cost of repairs also impact on insurance premiums as well?

Regards, John.

LED Lights for modifying other cars are very difficult to get hold of , they are probably priced like that to keep them out of peoples hands and adapting them for different cars , I bet the dismantlers know their value too !

yes these LED light units are all very well and good until they go wrong[which they do]and you can't just chuck in a new bulb but have to replace the whole light unit-which these days then probably needs coding to the car.

I can understand why incandesent bulbs are not but does anyone know if LED headlights are included in the standard or extended warranty? At £3k they should be.

yes covered by the standard warranty ,If they are weak and going to fail they will in their first years of life . I have only known of one problem since the V40 was launched when a parking light failed , I would not worry too much ..

The prices paid at salvage auctions for present model cars up to two years old would suggest there's good demand from buyers wanting to repair as much as strip down for parts. And whilst there's good demand the supply side will charge accordingly.

Cool You cannot be serious! ref,J.Mac.

I think I would fit Roo bars and Landrover type headlamp protectors if i owned one. I hope you can't remove them quickly? Otherwise people will be finding them missing when collecting their cars from long stay car parks. I know 'sensible' is out of fashion, but I would rather have a brand new Renault 4,(if you could get the fairies to make you one) than all this vastly overpriced, gimmicky bling. Please feel free to disagree!

Regards,Keith
