How to run Android 6.0 phone from 2010 C70 audio?
Hi:
I have a 2010 C70 with the mid model (of 3) audio system. It's designed to connect to a phone, but I can't connect my Android 6.0 phone because as I understand it, the car audio firmware uses an older Bluetooth protocol. My Volvo dealer says it can't be updated to the current version. Can anyone recommend a device or workaround to get my phone to play phone calls through the audio system or translate Bluetooth protocols? If I just use the Aux socket I get incoming phone sound but no outgoing mic sound. I could use an Android app to broadcast a heritage Bluetooth protocol, but I think I'd then I'd have to fiddle about with changing settings every time I drive our other (1 year newer) car. Thanks, Max |
