The fuel pump is being powere i have the cap off the control relay and can here it pump and can force it to pump through that relay. I have no idea if it is just being immobilised not sure how the system works whether its fuel or spark related. I may try and swap out the power stage and see if that will give me the spark back |

OK, once again ;-)
Step1: do you have the right key to try to start. The anti-theft-device will be switched off only by the right key Step2:the fuel pump relay : it is a two step relay. First step is fuel pump, only one in tank pump at a 1997 940, the second is to power the ECU. You will need a y- bridge to test if this relay is the fault. Step 3: CPS Step 4: fuel pump is gone (not enough pressure) you will be not interested in step 4, because of no spark. Forget the RSR relay. Till now I never ever had a faulty RSR at a 940 1992+ 5V where? I didn't read carefully or didn't understand. No big miracles with a 940. My 744 even did start with fuel 8 years old ( ok did smell terrific, still did run) Good luck, Kay |

Yes the key is correct
Yes both em1 and em2 sides of the relay are working correctly. I have 3 bar of fuel pressure I will have to try and get a crank sensor today |

Yes, it will be step 5 if there are no injectors and spark plug working. If the injectors do work and still no spark you will have to renew the ignition module. Don't forget the heat sink paste. Good luck, I prefer the 1995+ 940 is. Astonishing reliable and good cars . Have a nice day, Kay |
