Default B230k to b200ft advice

So I have a 1985 b230k 240, and a b200ft 940 1992, I’m going to transplant the engine and ecus etc from the 940 into the 240. The 940 is auto and the 240 is manual, at the minute I’m not very familiar with the engines and setups, the world of volvos is all very new to me however I am a mechanic and have a full workshop.
I take it because the b200ft is an auto I’m going to need a manual flywheel for the crankshaft sensor ?
Any other problems I may run into ??

K is the best B2xy engine Volvo ever build.

You will need:
Different fuel pump (1 or 2, both versions are possible )
Wiring loom of a LH2.4 240
Flywheel LH2.4

Done a lot of times

I would prefer the K-jetronic still.......

Good luck, Kay

Is your car only a 4 speed? A lot of the carb cars were only 4 speed

Thank you Dai, I missed this.
You are right, K is the carb and Heron interference engine with 4 speed. Never seen one K and 5 speed or 4 and OD.
My fault.
I would swap to LH2.4 if my car is with the K-jetronic engine.

Have a nice day, Kay

Some of the B230K cars were carburettor plus 5-speed - I was given a very rusty one once for spares. I've still got the gearbox (M47)

If you are swapping engines it would be worth putting in a 5-speed gearbox too?
