Faraday Box not working with Volvo key - Page 2

I have a pouch I bought from Ebay and I can put the pouch against the handle and it still won't unlock . I also bought 1 for my wife and she does not use her key very often but when she does it works as it should when out of the pouch. What I did notice with the pouch I have is there are 2 pockets inside and you have to put the key into the second most inner pocket for it to work properly.

What’s the point of having a signal blocking pouch, that will allow the car to be opened if you are standing next to the car with it in your hand? Am I missing something here?

Faraday shields are never 100% effective. To be 100% effective, the shield must be a solid metal shell with absolutely no cracks or gaps whatsoever. Like a tin sweet box.

But even the tin sweet boxes are not 100% effective as the lids do not make a 100% contact all the way around the box.

Doubling or tripling a faraday shield adds more protection
But it is never 100%
