Default Bank Card Eaten......Beware!

So I have a few week old XC60, called at MacDonald's take away and after paying and juggling with the food/drinks put my card on top of the front small coin storage compartment below the central screen. Drive off and you guessed it the card slips under the lid of the compartment never to be seen again!

No way to get it out other than removing the dash so had to order a new card and just leave the old one lost somewhere under the dash. You have been warned!

You're not the first. Not happened to me but I do believe you may get access by unclipping the side of the tunnel on the passenger side.

Yep - my car was loyalty card has also suffered the same fate. If you're careful (and maybe a bank card is too thick) you can tuck a card under the gear level surround trim so it holds when the coin slot is opened, but it doesn't take much to dislodge it

There are those that have and those that will.

Left side transmission tunnel, remove the cover and it’ll be behind.

I lost a French motorway toll ticket there last year. Fine was €100 for no ticket. Fortunately the Gilet Jaunes were in full swing ahead of the toll plaza. That gave me time to pull off the drivers footwell side of the centre tunnel and after a minute or so my fingers finally reached it!
