Not something I have noticed. I have presets and some of them do not work if you go 'out of area', but the nationals - BBC - always seem to retune OK. I travel from the north east to the south west quite frequently.

It really annoys me that DAB is so pants around Membury Services on the M4. I know the radio tower is there, but there must be a way of improving how the signal is handled along a major road.

It’s the same on the M54 going past the Wrekin that is a large hill stuffed full of transmitters for Mid-Shropshire, as you drive past the strength of the signals appear to disappear into a “black hole”.

This may provide a few clues as to why national BBC is less prone to drop-outs.

I have a 2016 XC60 and my DAB radio also doesn't seem to retune on some channels - e.g. smooth radio
It starts of on east midlands, and we have ot manually change to whatever region we are passing though

And this I think is the point which is (not particularly clear) in the links in post #4. I also find this with 'Smooth', 'Smooth NE', Smooth Extra etc. They don't seem to have the joined-up tuning which the national BBC channels have.
