400 Series General Forum for the Volvo 440, 460 and 480 cars

  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

I can certainly appreciate the amount of care and work that has gone into it - as I usually can when I see modified cars of this standard.

Personally, though, I am afraid my immediate thought is "what did the poor 480 do to deserve that...???"

Eww, BMW engine. Now it's 50% cockmobile.

Plus the carbon fibre bonnet is more barry than anything on that red 480.

Nothing "Barry" about real carbon fibre.....but airbags on a Volvo 480? Jesus weeps for the owner.

And that BMW engine is one of the best road car engines ever. 99.99999% of people would say it's sacrilege to put it in a brick.

To compare the 2 cars a prefer that hilarious "low rider" Volvo is strange to say the least.

Edit* never noticed the bonnet. TBH the car looks tragic but it has a 5 litre V10.
