My loss might be someones gain. I just purchased this car in January after searching for ages for something good to serve me as a company car, and we have been advised of the company car policy changes as of April, which sadly means my car doesnt qualify and I need to sort an alternative.

I have taken the layout of the description from the previous poster who was selling his XC70, because i think it helps to read better, however text is not just copy/ paste so please read below in detail.


So here is a lovely S80 SE Sport in Silver metallic with contrasting Cream upholstery.

Late 2007 ‘57’ registered.

2.4 D5 Turbo Diesel 185bhp 5 cylinder with a 6 manual gearbox.
These come with a load of extras standard but the spec of this example is phenomenal, some extras include...

- IDIS (Intelligent Driver Information Centre) with Information Centre,

- Built in booster seats in back seat arm rest
- Front fog lamps. Headlight washers.
- 18" alloys
- Adjustable power steering,
- Active 4C Suspension (Comfort, Sport, and Advanced modes), Changes the firmness of the suspension and response from the steering.
A fully loaded, very well equipped car with too much to list!

The car has 185,000 miles on the clock. But it is testament to previous single owner who has had it for 9 out the 10 years and regulary serviced and took care of it to serve as his motorway mile mucher

MOT is until June 2017 but for asking price I am more then happy to put a year on, as it shouldnt have any issues passing it.

Car is fully HPI Clear!



The Bodywork.
Excellent Condition for the age and mileage and certainly doesnt have any major dints or scratches that sometimes can come from motorway traveling. However I know term "excellent" can be subjective so viewings are welcome and I can provide more photos if needed too.

One of the wheels is slightly kerbed and each of them will have small marks. so could do with reconditioning. One of the alloys as seen in the pricture has some slight bubbling and peeling, and would need a bit more attention if that sort of thing bothers you. Certainly only noticable up front and close.


The Interior.
Simply a stunning place to be, so comfortable and of such high quality.

The car has aged well inside for its age and mileage. The seats are good with no tears in the bolsters etc as is typical, overall it’s nice inside, very comfortable.
The carpets are good with no wear.
Absolutely everything works.


The Drive.
The car is very precise to drive, starts perfectly with a very strong 2.4 D5 engine and 6 speed manual gear box.
Average measured fuel consumption is around 36mpg, and on motorway runs to Newcastle I have reached slightly above 42mpg. but that the nature of this large car.

The steering and brakes etc are all very responsive.
This car with its optional Active 4C suspension drives better than a standard model, a good plus.
The 3 driving modes all work fine.
There are NO warning lights illuminated, and no messages stored on the Info Centre.
There are no odd noises from the car and it pulls just as it should.

Items of importance:

Upon last service full inspection was carried out from the main dealer and the only items that were highlited in red and needed attention sooner rather then later were the rear trailing arm bushes, which i have replaced with receipts to prove and also slight leak on the windshield if washed in a high pressure car wash (known issue for Volvo's) and this has also been fixed via windshield repair specialist with receipts to prove.



The History and Paperwork.
Has 10 recorded services in the service history book with stamps.
9 carried out by previous owner and 1 by myself.
first 5 services via main dealer then by specialist and when I bought the car in January, it was serviced again at the main dealer giving you another 15000 miles before next service is due.

Unfortunately previous owner using this car for business travel kept the receipts of any work carried out over the years for accounting purposes, but as service schedule implicates, nothing was spared on this car to keeep in in such good running condition.

I have receipts from things that I have done to it since owning it and can pass them on with the car.

Cambelt kit was done at 108000 and next is due at around 208000, so at least another 20000 miles. I was quoted around £300 by my indipendant volvo specialist, and if you would like I can have that sorted if the amount is added on the sale.

4 good tyres with loads of tread remaining.
