V70: Engine service required

Hi all

Had service engine required message come up as pulling out of a junction.
Car had reduced power. Drove about 2-3 miles, came to a roundabout car felt ok again and message had gone ie 0 messages. Drove a further 20 miles or so and all ok still.
Any thoughts?
Seems odd the message has cleared by itself presumably at same point the car was ok again.
Any help greatly appreciated

The cars covered by this forum don't have message displays similar to the one you outline. You need to post in the forum for your particular car, but as you haven't indicated the year or model it is difficult to advise the correct forum.

try this section C30 / S40 & V50 '04-'12

glad that on the old V70 the engine service light is pretty dumb tech, if it hasn't been reset recently it comes on for a couple of minutes at start up, goes out by itself, and has no noticeable effect on performance.
