Default Side lights

Replaced my side lights tonight after a bulb blowout... bought a pair of 233s / T4Ws as that's what is listed as the correct bulb, but to my surprise when I took them out they are 501 wedge bulbs... no problem as such, went back and got the correct ones.

Has someone fitted new bulb holders to mine at some point or are they 501s as stock and Halfrauds bulb identifier is wrong?

Phase 1s use the 233, phase 2s use regular 501s

Wondered! When you enter my reg it gives three options, single headlamp, twin headlamp and twin xenon headlamp. Obviously the single ones are phase ones but somehow they've mixed up and put 233s in the twin section too. Same on other sites like Phillips.

Should have noticed before taking them out they were 501s, bored of changing them in Transits!

We've got an old nissan Navara like that at works, absolutely eats the things, but the very best part about these is that when you feel behind the headlight you are greeted with a solid panel of metal, yeah that's right, front grille, indicator and headlight unit has to come out just to change them.
