Welcome to the forum!
I take it that your dealer has diagnosed that the car’s brake discs are warped – hence the pulsing feeling through the pedal?
31K miles sounds reasonable for a set of rotors – depends if the brakes have been toasted previously with a few hard stops or heated up from a dragging caliper.

The R brakes are pretty good – they are Brembo units, however if you want more there are a number of aftermarket pads & rotors – namely out of the US (e.g. IPD www.ipdusa.com). It really comes down to what you want to do with the car. Track work or daily driver. If the car is a daily driver IMO you the stock pads work fine.
Just take note when looking for after market rotors as the R-s have larger rotors that the regular S60 & V70-ies
