Default Pulling a flywheel

Swapping the box out soon and going to change the crank seal while I am in there, amongst other things.

Do I need a flywheel puller for this or is it a 'tap-smartly-with-a-mallet' Haynes special?

Ive always used the same method. Undo all the bolts and use a pry bar to work it off.

Sounds pleasingly basic! Ever any damage to the end of the crank?

Shouldn't need anything too brutal. A good squirt of penetrating oil down the back and a few taps with rubber or copper hammer around the edge should do it but it might only need a tug by hand.

if yours has a crank sensor then mark the flywheel to the crank to make sure it does back on the right way. If you dont have a crank sensor then it does not matter.
