Where are all the XC60's ? - Page 2

I'm doing my best out here on the Essex/Hertfordshire border with my 2010silver XC60 D5, but I agree, I haven't noticed any others on the road yet. Fairly exclusive club so far it seems.

I have had mine a year and in that time have seen three on the road. Two in London and one on the motorway.

has anybody towed a caravan with this or simalar model

I've seen a few around Cheshire, not that many but it was like that when the new V70 came out you saw the odd one and your still don't see that many after 2yrs (less of the XC70).

Must say its a long delivery time, I ordered a new factory order XC70 on 25th Sept. and its a the Dealer now waiting for me to pick it up tomorrow.

I think Volvo should stop selling XC60 cars now - clearly we have enough to allow each of us our seperate and exclusive driving areas now

It is a bit like a franchise, if you get to many then we will start to encroach onto each other and before long the myth of XC60s existance would be exploded

Just an idea .....

My XC60 has the 'old' 185 D5 engine & I have probably towed our caravan 2500-3000 miles this year. I can honestly say I have never towed with a better outfit in 20 years or more (including 3 1/2 yeras with an XC90).

You are probably aware that the XC60 D5 won the Camping & Caravanning Club Towcar of the year 2009 and won its class in the Caravan Club Towcar of the Year, justly deserved.

I'm now within 4 weeks of current expected delivery date of mine. Its been the longest wait for a new car I have ever had and Volvo salemen are pretty useless at keeping you up to date or even getting back to you after contacting them. No wonder there are so few XC60's on the roads - I think they may be hand making them in Belgium at a rate of one a week,

Think I'll give em a ring tommorrow to see if theres any improvement on the date yet !

Well, I've still got 3 or 4 weeks to wait for mine and I've already seen one being driven in the village where I live - and I think it's the same colour as well (a sort of off-black, which I hope turns out to be savile grey), so no chance of any exclusivity. Mind you, it did look good.
