Default Electrical issues

Hi all, I previously said about rear near side lock not working in my 'new owner' post, I also have another issue, the near side front and rear electric windows keep intermittently failing

Don't know how to edit but the window isn't intermittent like I thought, there is no power to the window or lock, I have check the fuse (81 under glove box) and that is ok but changed it anyway, does anybody know if there is another fuse or relay?

Likelihood is that either the loom to the rear door has failed or the electronic module in that door has failed. If you can't open the door the door card has to be removed in-situ and it's not easy without damaging it. Volvo managed to damage one of ours in the same situation while trying to fix the problem.

The module or loom will then have to be replaced for the door to be opened.

That's fortunate it can still be opened. It's a lot harder if things fail when it's deadlocked closed.

Ok I've had a look and have found this. . .
Where does the other side of the loom go? Is it on a plug?

not found a multi plug on the car side of the rear doors on mine that Is the loom of the car, mines a 04 and i know things changed 05 with the loom plug shifting from the door to the body of the car But that mess of push connectors looks Very suspect and could well be the cause.

check all the connectors are soldered And tight to the other half of it , it looks like a fail point that has been "repaired" with crimp on connectors.
