Default Misfire D5 euro 4 185hp

Hi there,

I am in need of some mechanical expertise
I have been experiencing a misfire like issue recently with my 07 S80 D5.

It occurs when the engine is cold or warm on slight throttle between 1400 and 1800 rpm. I can reproduce it so it is not a random issue.
I feels like a one cylinder misfire as the ''tempo'' seems to be at around 280bpm (times 5 it equals to 1400 rpm).

I have checked a lot of things :
- Charge air pipes = fine
- Intercooler = no cracks but I can hear a sligh air sound
- EGR = Cleaned (wasnt too dirty)
- MAP sensor = replaced because it was reading a constant 60 degrees temp

All that and I still have not found the issue.

I read quite a lot about this engine management and its common faults but the monitoring with torque does not show anything. I am maybe missing something.

I also read that it is not uncommon to have injector wiring issues with this engine. I cleaned it with WD40 specialist... Still no luck.

As the weather is getting super wet here it seems to be getting worse.

What else can I check ?

It drives me a bit crazy. I am planning to keep the car for long and I already did some investments on it with new tires, map sensor and gearbox flush. I was even planing to replace the valve body but now I have to solve this first.

Has someone here experienced the same and found the solution ?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Edouard
