What is the atmospheric pressure reading were you are, look on the internet,
it should read about the same, do this at the same time ,

and with the maf reading ,is this in g/s and are these readings with you driving the car, or just revving it without moving,
Dave

Hello Dave, yes the MAP is in kpa and the MAF is in g/s.

I was just revving the car whilst stationary. Is that the correct test method?

Please tell me what MAP you are reading with the ignition on with the engine not running,

Then with the car at running temp, at idle what is the maf reading,
Dave

ok sorry I have just looked again
your map reading is wrong for engine off, ignition on,
what is the atmospheric pressure reading for where you are ?

has the car been re-mapped ?
Has it got a tuning box fitted ?

is the maf sensor standard Bosch make, not cheap after market ,

I of course will run through https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...ighlight=p0244 when I have time.

I have used an "Intey My-021 OBDII/EOBD + CAN" tool, so my rev counter figures are not going to be that acurate.

MAP:
Ignition on engine off = 149
Idle = 97
~2.2K = 137

MAF:
ignition on engine off = 11.8
Idle = 16.8
~1K = 16.8
~2.2K = 54.5
~3K = 57.1
~4K = 79.4

I replaced the IC last year.
MAP reading, with engine off you should NOT be getting 149 kpa
you should be getting about 100-102 kpa

MAF reading, with the engine off you should NOT be reading 11.8
you should be reading 0.0 -0.1

your reading of 16.8 at idle and the same at 1000rpm are wrong , at 1000rpm it should read higher, not the same,
can you please test this again, and see that the idle is at 700rpm,

can you get hold of another reader, have you got an android phone/tablet if so get a Bluetooth adapter and use the Torque app,

by both of these test I would say that your map sensor and your maf sensor are bad, but you need to check that it is not the reader that is reading wrong,

when you are taking the reading with the car on but engine of, is the reader definitely talking/connected to the ECU ?
Can you re-run these tests before starting the engine, so just have the key on Pos ll,
Dave
