A 700/900 series live axle with G80 locker is a bolt in direct replacement for a live axle without locker. The G80 locker unit will bolt into the earlier axle which came without the locker unit. I have heard that the splined end of one axle must be shortened a little. Shortening an axle is an easy task with an abrasive cut off saw.

You'll still have to be sure the tone ring count stays the same, or modify the tone ring, or get an electronic speedometer adapter.

yap, I know that. Reason that I'm looking for whole unit is whining when u make a swap. Been through that 2 times b4 and really want to avoid stress this time.

Btw. Managed to find one back in Poland, awaiting delivery so we will c whats actually in it when we will strip it to pieces. Fingers crossed!
