That's the mileage on what appears to be the original clutch on the Exxon Valdez.

I bit the bullet and ordered a Borg and Beck clutch, plus an aftermarket propshaft cetre bearing carrier, for the car.

The clutch that came out still had some meat on the friction plate but I'm hoping the new set-up will improve selection of first and second gears. Time, as the cliche has it, will tell.

I found changing the clutch on my diesel 940 (292k at the time with the original clutch!) improved the driving experience immeasurably. The release fork was worn out too, so the new clutch and fork etc made a huge difference. First and reverse are a cinch and takeoff is FAR smoother, even fully loaded and with a twin axle trailer behind. You’ll appreciate the new unit in the EV I’m sure!
